By Appointment is a project offering unknown artists the opportunity to propose a one day exhibition at the Institute for Contemporary Art, London.
All submitted proposals will be exhibited at the ICA on the 9th May 2010 between 12 and 7pm as part of the first of the ICA’s Live Weekends, curated by David Gryn. Participating artists will be fully credited and are encouraged to join us at the ICA on 9th May to view the work, meet other contributing artists and to engage in an ongoing dialogue about the future of the artist and the institute.
The proposal must be under 150 words and may use any available public space at the ICA. We recommend you describe your project in as much detail as possible including its location in the building, medium/materials, what the work is about and perhaps even a budget for its installation if relevant.
Unknown artists (i.e. you must not currently be represented by an established gallery or have exhibited at the ICA before) wishing to participate in this project should email their 150 word proposal by 5pm on Friday 7th May 2010 to:
closebutnocigar@bigstring.com
Just email us to submit your proposal and add the ICA to your CV!
